First IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Satellite Competition to be Hosted in Japan

Japan hosts the first ever IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Satellite Competition from 13th -15th October 2017, in Kyoto, Japan.

The debut IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Satellite Competition will be held in Kyoto, Japan from the 13th to the 15th October 2017.

This new step on the IWAS Wheelchair Fencing competition pathway for new fencers of all ages will provide the first taste of international competition for those not yet ready for World Cup events.

The event which will include an IWAS Referee Seminar being led by Mr Kam Kau Wong, will give Referees an opportunity to develop their skills and education in the sport of Wheelchair Fencing, ultimately leading to an international qualification.

Athletes will benefit from a two day coaching/training session to kick off the event, culminating in a competition for:

Women Foil -Cat A and B

Mens Foil- Cat A and B

Mens Sabre Cat A and B.
