Former wheelchair fencing chairman Alberto Martinez Vassallo welcomed at Warsaw Grand Prix
And accepted gift in recognition of his hard work and achievements for the sport.
During the final gala of the Grand Prix in Warsaw, Alberto Martinez Vassallo received recognition for his long-standing contribution and work as IWAS wheelchair fencing chairman for the sport. Presented by the current chairman Jakub Nowicki thanked him for all that he had done for the sport, for the time and energy he had given to wheelchair fencing during his decades of service.
Mr. Vassallo accepted the large painting which depicted the battle scene of a horse duel with sabres by a renowned Polish painter.
All fencers present in Warsaw warmly and enthusiastically applauded the former president, thereby expressing their thanks and appreciation to his work and contribution.
